Welcome to your Europamundo tour! We transfer you to your hotel, where you'll have free time before receiving details of your tour in the afternoon.
Athens
A city tour with a local guide takes in the Presidential Mansion, the Panathenaic Stadium (home of the first modern Olympic Games), the National Library and the newer neighbourhoods built for the 2004 Olympics, ending at the Acropolis (admission not included). In the evening we transfer to the historic Plaka district, famed for its tavernas and folklore.
Kamena Vourla → Kalambaka (Meteora)
We head north early, stopping at the seaside town of Kamena Vourla and the historic Thermopylae mountain pass, then the picturesque village of Kastraki with free time for lunch. In the afternoon we explore the breathtaking UNESCO-listed Meteora, with admission to one of its famous monasteries included; dinner is included in Kalambaka.
Delphi → Athens
We travel south through Thessaly to Delphi, exploring its exquisite archaeological site overlooking the Gulf of Corinth, with free time for lunch. We continue to the Byzantine Hosios Loukas Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its 11th-century mosaics, before returning to Athens in the evening as our journey comes to an end.
